Between running up and down the hill for a very busy work, drywalling, cabinet building for the kids home school,
getting the pumpkins, lettuce, peppers and container tomatoes started.
Been hella busy.

Took today to screw off with no plans.
Built a temp cinderblock bbq, fired it up with some almond and cooked up some
cheesedogs for the kids and chicken for a salad for Ann and I.
Inspected the twelve - six foot rosemary bushes, two are flowering and
Harvested 5 lbs to present to a local market.
Put some in the barn to hang and dry for family and friends.
Trimmed back some sugar pines blocking a deer trail.
Found larger than deer scat behind barn and I think its boar.
Three nights ago we heard dogs take down one, not sure if it was wild or a farm pig but it got LOUD!.
Filled the hummingbird feeder. We got two that live in a large sequoia right off the deck.
Refilled the beer storage.
Laid out the container garden for my peppers.
Went with Seed Savers this year as they had the largest selection of organic seeds.
Also laying out a huge area where we are planting prairie flowers for soil enrichment.
We will be growing bio intensive techniques this year from ecology action up in Willits.
Found some fruit trees to the north, not sure what kind, this guy planted so many trees and caged most of them from the deer.
Maybe I'll make the kids count and id each tree.
Ann located several breeders of Swiss Mountain Dogs to work on the property with us, they are also
one of the top dogs for small children and are quite protective of them we've learned.
Temps high today was 59 as soon as the sun sank it got a chill on.
Came in got the furnace fired up, closed up the house.
May frame in the wood stove's hearth tomorrow and go down and get some tile for the hearth pad.
I heard chainsaws most of the day. I think a large tree came down next door in that 3 day Seattle style rain storm we just had.
3 days straight with no break.
Been seeing guys hauling really long flatbed trailers with down trees on them.
Really awesome trees with some insane character, not just down trees.
I think the may be used for furniture building. Not firewood.
Just the day I needed.
Think ill do it again in the am.
