Spots
with
David McKenzie and Bryan Carter
in the Southern Louisiana Bayou

I got invited back to the Southern Louisiana Bayou, this time to fly fish with David McKenzie, We would be fished by legendary fly fishing guide Bryan Carter.
I recalled going to the Bayou in 2007 and being served 25 knots of tropical wind and rain, all the guides cancled due to the weather, Venice was still flooded.
We ended up getting some nice fish the following two days conventionaly fishing crabs but they would not eat the fly and I even put a crab on a fly.
I really wanted to feel a bull on the long rod.
They would not touch it.

At first our weather was looking perfect for this trip but in route things changed and we got served 25 knots the first day with a 30 deg drop in temp.

It was winter in the Bayou.
